There is a specific, fleeting moment in a European evening—the "blue hour"—when the sky holds a deep, velvet indigo just before the stars take over. If you’re sitting in a courtyard in Lyon, on a rooftop in Madrid, or a quiet balcony in Munich, this is the moment that defines your night.
But for too long, outdoor lighting has been the enemy of this moment.
We’ve all seen them: the clinical, plastic stakes that cast a jittery, blue light across a garden. They don't provide ambiance; they provide a distraction. At Bianova, we believe that solar power shouldn't be a compromise on elegance. We set out to create a luminaire that felt less like a gadget and more like a piece of sculptural architecture—one that respects the rhythm of a European home.

The Power of Choice: From 6500K to 2000K
In the design world, we talk about the Kelvin scale, but most people only feel it. Anything above 4000K belongs in a workspace or a kitchen; it’s "productive" light.
When you move to 3000K, you enter the realm of a standard home. It’s comfortable, but it’s static.
The magic of the Bianova system lies in the range. With five adjustable brightness levels and a spectrum spanning from 6500K daylight to a deep 2000K amber, you are the conductor of the mood. Our 2000K setting mimics the honeyed glow of a flickering candle or the dying embers of a fireplace in the Italian Alps. It is a visceral signal to the brain that it is time to exhale. We didn't just build a lamp; we built the ability to "dial down" the world.

Texture and Resilience
Luxury is a tactile experience. This is why we moved away from the thin, "disposable" plastics common in mass-market lighting. Instead, we utilize ETFE solar panels.
Originally developed for high-end architectural and aerospace projects, ETFE is incredibly resilient, but it also has a distinct, sophisticated matte texture. It doesn't glare; it glows. When you pick up a Bianova lamp by its integrated handle, you feel the weight and intentionality of the build. It is a light designed to be moved—following the conversation from the dinner table to the poolside lounge.
Engineering for the European Climate
We designed Bianova with the realities of the continent in mind. An IP65 waterproof rating means our lamps are built to withstand the salt air of the Costa Brava just as easily as a sudden downpour in Paris.
But we also know that a grey week in Northern Germany doesn't care about your dinner plans. This is why we insisted on dual charging. While our ETFE panels drink in the sun, the discrete Type-C port serves as your "seasonal insurance." It ensures that your 580-lumen "Sunset Mode" is ready whenever you are, regardless of the clouds.
Intuitive Intelligence
A premium light shouldn't demand your attention; it should anticipate your needs. By integrating sunlight and motion sensors, Bianova lamps become a living part of your environment. They wake up when the sun dips below the horizon and respond softly as you approach.
At Bianova, we invite you to stop looking for "solar lights" and start looking for a better way to experience your home. Luxury isn't found in how bright you can make a room—it’s found in how beautifully you can let it fade.
